I recently stayed at a hotel in Yamagata and had a fantastic experience. the location was perfect for me as it was within walking distance to the Zao Onsen bus station. Additionally, the hotel provided free pick up and transfer to both the bus station and the nearby ski rope station, making it extremely convenient for skiing and sightseeing. Secondly, the staff were incredibly warm and kind, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Lastly, the meals served at the hotel were a highlight of my stay. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious, featuring a variety of local and seasonal dishes that satisfied my taste buds.
No negatives to mention, everything was great.

The attention to detail throughout the hotel is impressive, from the well-equipped rooms with stunning views to the basic amenities provided. The staff are friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with a smile on their face. Another highlight is the delicious breakfast, offering a mix of Japanese and Western options to please all palates.

Located in a serene lakeside area, this hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service from the nearby Y station. From here, the ski area is just a short walk away, offering an incredible skiing experience. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the natural hot springs are divine. The breakfast buffet has a decent variety of items, and the view from the window is breathtaking. The drying and ski maintenance facility is a great boon too.
Requesting drink refills during dinner can get a bit frustrating.

We had an amazing romantic escape! The room was super cozy, spacious and warm, perfect for our needs. The highlight of our stay was the onsen, both the internal and natural onsen were breathtaking and relaxing. We loved the fact that the hotel was close to the ski facilities, which allowed us to enjoy a day of skiing. The food was also great, we enjoyed every meal.
We found that some of the staff had difficulty communicating in English, which made it challenging for us to ask for some services. Nonetheless, they were very friendly and tried their best to assist us.

The hotel had amazing views from the room and a beautiful indoor and outdoor onsen. The meals were very delicious and had a lot of local foods. The location was perfect for skiing as it was close to the ski area. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful.
The hotel was a bit expensive and a little far from the main road. While the hotel had an excellent selection of amenities, the Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby, not in the rooms.
